A few shots from the back yard while helping the dogs to exercise. Tater was waiting for the next tennis ball. And the Bumble was going about his business.

Here are some pictures from a recent get together.
We had a good time, and the new house is pretty awesome.
The view from our back porch. The humidity is visible after the storm passed the night before. Today we cannot see past the first line of trees due to fog.

This snake lives in our front yard.

Seems he enjoys the heat of the blacktop.

He may be 8 inches long.

Winston was a dog's dog, and a great companion.
He will be missed.

day figure

something about the morning light
the day just starting on the street
something about the balance
between the fresh morning sky
and the scene unfolding

something in that equation
yields new things to see where
before had been old

something in that calculus gives a means for figuring
the day

something that is hard to find at the end of the week

Waiting for the next

Waiting for the next hurricane

Here in Indiana there is not much use in preparing for a hurricane, and where I live there is no reason to worry about flooding.  You got to wonder why people refuse to look at the big picture when they thing about hurricanes.  If I knew a truck was going to run into my house, I’d leave.  Don’t know why anyone would not.  The odds may be with you that you will survive, but why would you want to go through that when you could be in a safe place watching the weathermen get blown about on TV.
