We came down to Florida and stopped in Asheville at the Biltmore.
After that we stopped in Savannah and went out to Tybee Island.
Here is the lighthouse.
We also celebrated a birthday.
And got to hang out with Maggie.
Jane's cat Dali, is young and agile. Here she is coming down a loft ladder upside down, using the wall to steady herself.
The rain on this hibiscus made for an interesting picture.

Lee Bottom
Lee Bottom is a place that my friend Steve took me to once in a beautiful biplane. They have a fly-in that features wood and tailwheel airplanes. The strip is grass with woods on one end and a cornfield on the other. I was going to fly there this year, but I woke up with a nasty case of something, and decided that driving down would be safer. The other component of the decision was the weather, it ended up raining on us.
These Cubs arrived and left in formation.
This year the star was a DC-3. Here is a fast pass, one of many passes.
Many planes in the pattern, and in the middle of it all, a B-17 went over the top.
I did not catch it the first time but the pilot was getting into the corn right before he made the threshold.
These are two different passes from different perspectives.
Here's the proofThe field got fairly busy. Weather was moving in from Louisville.
When we got there, the sun was shining and the sky was blue. By the time we left, it was grey. In between we got to be up close and personal with a DC-3 and a lot of other planes.
Here he is on final.
