My friend Kris gave me this trailer when he moved.
It has done a lot of work for me.

Mt Comfort Pre Air Show

Practice for the Air Show was open to the public, so I took the day off and wandered up there.
There was enough wind that it kicked a vendor umbrella out on the flight line, but the performers handled it well.



Great day great weather, $5 to get in, and front/center access.

Bowman Birthday

What do you get for somebody who does not want to celebrate her birthday?
A good meal, and a scenic journey to get there.
We started the day off by going to Rough River State Park for brunch.

Then we came home and took a nap so we could start the next leg of the adventure.

We had never been to this airport, which is in the shadow of the large airport in Lousiville that services UPS and the Kentucky Air National Guard.

Kind of neat to stand in a building that Lindbergh flew into on his way to fly across the Atlantic.

The real reason we went there was to visit this restaurant.

The terminal building, if you look close you might see the saxophone player, and the old control tower.

This is before, the finish was gone in the high traffic area and there were a few stains.

This is after, sanding and then 5 coats of Polyurethane.

I got to sit in the pilot's seat of this airplane.  It does not fly, due to corrosion.

The fantasy of flight in Florida brought it out for the splash in.

When we moved our hot tub into the back, we had to take down some fence, this is what I did to put back a lockable gate.

We have been going to Mattoon for a while. This day it was pretty clear, and there were a couple other planes there. Probably came for the pie as well.

We missed a big snow, but had rain and fog mostly.

Plenty of good seafood, even though this is a very slow time around here as far as number of tourists.
